Today is the third anniversary of Blogosphere Day. On July 19, 2004 the blogosphere came together in support of a candidate Ginny Schrader. That day they showed the power of the progressive netroots and it is on this day yearly that we celebrate the start of something very important in the preservation of our democracy.
The blogosphere continues to be the best defense against the corporate interests which dominate our media. Without the blogosphere it is almost certain that the information you would receive would be incomplete at best and lies at worst.
